What is BCAR?
The Brunswick
County Association of REALTORS® (BCAR) is the local
level of the largest trade association in the nation
presently serving more than 1200 members comprised of
REALTORS®, Appraisers and Affiliate Members.
Chartered in
1959 by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the
Brunswick County Association of REALTORS® represents the
interests of its members in Brunswick, Bladen and
Columbus Counties. Members have the right through
membership to use the term REALTOR®, which is a
registered trademark identifying a professional in real
estate who belongs to the association and ascribes to a
strict Code of Ethics.
The Association
offers an internet based Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
featuring a comprehensive list of available properties
for sale or lease in Brunswick, Bladen, Columbus and
surrounding counties.
Members’
interests are well-represented on local, state and
federal legislative issues through the Governmental
Affairs Department. Networking opportunities are
provided through committee service and membership
events.
A large number
of Educational programs are offered to members to
provide REALTOR® Designations, fulfill Continuing
Education requirements
