LEGISLATIVE UPDATE The "Long Session" that concluded in August certainly lived up to its name this year. The session began in January and after a grueling six month+ debate on the budget, state lawmakers finally constructed a budget that could gain enough votes in each chamber as well as the approval of the Governor. The church organization “Freedom Ministries Outreach” has been a tenant of the banquet center for the past month. They have been an excellent customer and are very pleased with the facility for their services. The service is held in the banquet center each Sunday at 10:30 am – 12:00 noon. Wellcare also has been renting the board room for their weekly meetings for the past month.
The Brunswick County Home Builders Association met this month after taking
the summer off. They will meet again in October and November. |
