Homebuyers tax credit extended!

Congress passed the homebuyers tax credit extension.  President Obama should sign it this weekend.  Here are the technical aspects of the bill.

Conforming Loan Limits - The extension of the current FHA & conforming loan limits (125% of median home price up to $729,750) through December 31st, 2010 has been added to the Continuing Resolution and passed the House & Senate.                (click here to continue reading)
President's Message

Fellow BCAR Members,

 As the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season comes to a close, we are reminded that the North Carolina southeastern coast was fortunate again by not experiencing any major storms.  After all of the hard work that NCAR and our own Legislative/RPAC Committee accomplished on the restructuring of the homeowner’s insurance policies and rates, I am so thankful for all of our volunteers on all 14 of the association’s committees.

During the month of October the Brunswick County Association of REALTORSŪ held ten committee meetings, a general membership meeting, a new member orientation and the monthly Board of Directors meeting in the facility.

The Brunswick County Home Builders Association held its “Parade of Homes” award dinner here on Thursday October 22.  Brunswick Community Hospital also held an awards dinner here on Thursday October 15.

Three of the four Saturdays in October were booked, two were for weddings receptions and the third event was the 1989 Class Reunion for the West Brunswick High School graduates. 

Last night was the first BCAR Affiliate Business Expo.  The Association had 55 Affiliates participate in the expo.  Over 200 REALT0RŪ members attended the event.  There were more than thirty prizes that were drawn before the nights end.
