LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

 RPAC RAFFLE FUNDRAISER

NCAR granted permission to BCAR to hold an RPAC raffle this year.  BCAR is selling only 500 tickets for a chance to win $5000.  Each ticket is $100.  Members of the LEG/RPAC will be selling tickets soon.  If you have not contributed to RPAC yet this is a great opportunity.  For more information contact Steve Candler at steve@bcarnc.com.

President's Message

“Spring forward” takes place this weekend and reminds us of a very important time of year for our County and the consumers we represent. All of the beauty that Mother Nature has bestowed on our Coastal area is alive with life.  Harsh winters in many of our feeder markets combined with continued positive economic trends, just might mean this spring will truly bring with it positive change for our industry.  Statistics for February of this year over February of 2009 show a 55% increase in sales county-wide. This follows positive numbers for January as well. 


The Association continues to search for ways to support you, the membership through these tough economic conditions. Your involvement in these efforts is paying off.  Our budget is on target, all of the committees are working on meeting their goals and the staff and Board of Directors are working hard to make improvement to our member services.
